Description Composed in the spring of 2012. Upon meditating I found myself daydreaming, this is what I saw:

“All living things in these woods interact in a lively fashion,” states the solitary traveller as he wanders through the trees, searching for peace.

“The water is glistening in the distance, and I hear a calm but steady trickle from the small waterfall nearby,” he softly proclaimed as his memories and past faded with the dissipating ripples.

“A leaf, yellow in nature, landed on my head” he recalled “and with its descent I felt sorrow for the death of this leaf, yet joy for the beginning of new life.”

Premiered on April 28, 2012 by Tommy Strauser - Flute, Danny Sumrall - Oboe, Katie McKeirnan - Clarinet, Grant Bingham - Bassoon, and Sam Parilla - French Horn
